Konnichiwa minna-san! Ogenki desu ka?
Obviously, I’m not over my Kyoto, Japan trip. Still feeling heartbroken and dreamt of Japanese vending machines lately. Whew!
Anyway, I finally finished reviewing our expenses. It was hard work going through all those crumpled receipts but at last, here it is – my promised breakdown of our expenses / budget. Feel free to use this as an itinerary guide as well.
This expenses or budget breakdown includes costs for:
- Philippines Travel Tax
- All accommodations
- Main meals aka breakfast, lunch and dinner
- Sightseeing (temple entrance fees and so on)
- Transportation costs (bus and trains)
Not included are shopping budget and other personal purchases because I believe these are subjective things. Also not included are airfare costs because those are highly dependent on your chosen carriers and any promos you’ll find.
The below budget guide is in image form for easier display.

Feel free to use as a guide in planning your own Japan trip. Allot more money for souvenirs or pasalubong and extra food. How much will depend whether you’re a shopaholic or a food fanatic ^_^
